M∆GIC M∆KERS IS RECRUITING!

IMG_1914.JPG

About us: M∆GIC M∆KERS is a celebration of queer creativity, healing, and liberation, centering the work of QTPOC, working class, and socially/politically conscious artists and healers. We’re a multi-racial  collective of 6 core members .

Seeking:  We are opening our collective for  3-4 more. Looking for 1-2 People interested in    general  support crew* roles and 1-2  people interest in food crew roles.    Experience with event planning, googledocs, webdesign  (wordpress), curation, collective projects, and social media a plus.   (*support crew is first year, core crew is 2+ years involvement)

Time Commitment: Beginning in the Fall we meet as a whole group every 2 weeks for 2 hours, then more frequently with our smaller committees  throughout the season. Depending on committees and crews, you most put in around 2-6 hours a week October-December.  The week of the fair we put in at about 40 hours each for Magic Makers specific tasks (for those of us that are also  vendors, this is in addition to our vending roles)

Stipend + Benefits:  After paying expenses and making a donation to a queer community organization, we split the remaining amount we raised from the door and table fees and split is with the crew  based on self identified, need, time, and contributed. Stipends last year ranged from $0-$500 per person. Other crew benefits include access to priority vending spaces both days of the fair,  an occasional brunch, working with a fab crew of folks, getting to be a part of a collective effort to create the cutest raddest volunteer run queer art craft and healing event for a cause that exists.
