Maker Spotlight: Illustrated Truths

As a queer black womxn of many ancestries it is incredibly important to me to create art that reflects mine and my people’s spirits. I don’t believe in art for ‘arts sake’; for me creation must be an integral part of my people’s healing and liberation journey.

My current visions are to continue to create illustrations and paintings inspired by brujeria as well as create coloring books for all ages that honor queer folks and womxn of color, the healers, the protectors, the medicine womxn and the defenders of the earth and people to inspire folks of all ages to vibrate higher over Babylon’s chains.

I want and hope to see a thriving radical queer creative community inspiring and supporting each other. I am excited to bring a new collection of illustrations inspired by magic, liberation and yoni power.
